We live in a place that falls in seismic zone V, making the occurrence of   earthquakes a near certainty. We have a large network of rivers prone to flooding during almost every monsoon. Our landscape is changing with the process of economic development: Open spaces are shrinking with increased demand for land. Increased population needs more of community land for infrastructure and various other facilities, but availability of community land is diminishing.
