Village Garia bhaga in situated in 35 Potia Fokola Gaon Panchayat of North West Jorhat Development Block under Jorhat West Revenue Circle in Jorhat District of Assam. The village in located at 10 km distance from the block office at Dhekorgorah and about 15 km from district headquarter at Jorhat. Garia Bhoga village is bound on the north by mighty Brahmaputra, in the south by Bor-Ali Embankment , in the East by Kokila River, in the West by Khargoria Pukhuri.

                        There is a history behind the name of this village as long years back there is a family belongs to Muslim community(localy called as Goria)living in this village became completely washed away in a severe flood of Brahmaputra. Since then this village name became Goria Bhoga.
